it is not difficult driving a 900 mark 1 serie. mij helper is 74. at 72 he got his first vario a 916 and drives sinds then only vario. if you want to jou can learn it. and it is a beast to drive it. like it self the most that i can drive these with 1400 rpm at topspeed. saves fuel

When i got used to driving the 920 i think its better than to drive our 716 TMS And the sound and just looking on tha huge hood is a great feeling! It dosen take long to learn it and when you first learn it you never want anything else. Yeah i know My 920 is a 40 km/h so at 45 km/h i have about 1200-1300 rpm depending on the road and the load, with a little load its 1400 but they are really strong tractors

what doe you mean by my 920 is a 40kmh. yours can also drive 52 kmh (doesn't it?). my 926 drives 40kmh by 1020rpm. and it has a great sound. my 926 and 916 have a waste gate on the turbo but i never have so much rpm that i can hear it work. it is a great pleasure to drive them. i am looking for a 920 and a 924 so that i have the complete serie. i had seen one but my wife said that i had to sell my xylon 524 and that is no option. (not yet)

I bought it as a 50 km/h in England, but if you are going to drive a tractor that is going faster than 40 km/h you need to a truck lisence and to get a truck lisence you have to be 21 and im only 19 so i need to wait before i can make the fendt dealer put it up to 50 again hope you understand what i mean When i first got it it did 52.

Would have been cool to have the whole serie! My dad had a xylon 524 before, it was a good tractor

I think the old 900 serie is the best looking tractors fendt ever made, my dream was a 926 but im very happy with the 920 also

my 916 has the loadindex ( dont now the complete englisch word) on 30% otherwise the engine constantly has more or less rpm by heavy load. the dealer says that the engine has short at horse power to pull the vario with his doubble pumps. the 926 has the load index at 14% and pulls everything stationair. so there is a diverence.

I know what you mean, not sure what it is on the 920, but im guessing its more or less like the 916. My 920 is 220 HP and compared to a 820, the 820 dosent have a chance up hills with load A long time go in the german magazine profi they tested a 916 first generation at i think it had 190 hp or something haha

you can see it on the dashbord how hi or low it is set by pushing the button on the right panel. and then you can change it with the up and down arrows. you can change from 1 to 30%. use 1% for mowing. when the engine goes 1%down in rpm he goes slower. so the mower stays at 1000rpm pto speed

Ahh! im going to try out that with the mower! its very hard to make it stay on 1000 rpm when mowing in hills, because its heavy for the tractor up the hill, but down it gets very easy so then the rpm goes up and so on. Thanks man

i usually use "first" gear on the fields, does the % change aything then?

no the % is not different in 1 or 2 gear. just %rpm that kan be lower before increase or degrease speed. it is the button on the right panel next to the two buttons to put the pto in or out on the armseat at the bottom of the vario handle. when jou push this button jou see a three point with a arrow. at the arrow is a number. with up and down on the dashbord you can let the arrow go up or down. so you have more or less adjusting from the engine. you can try it driving. at 1% it constantly adjust with the engine. at 30 % it pulls a lot harder and rpm go lower while pulling

So on the mower i should use the 1%, but what about a claas uniwrap? im thinking that it should be 1% there also but correct me if im wrong and 30% is best for transport on the smallest of the 900?

for the mower is 1% the best. I have no idea what a claas uniwrap is. but when the engine rpm or the pto rpm must be very constant use the 1% (or 2 or 3 or 4%) just try what you think is the best en what drives the best. and 30% is the best for MY 916 ( maybe he is not ok en must i use it) it coud be that yours driver the best with 20% standard is 14% there stands a stripe on the dashbord window. my 926 stands normal on 14 but when i want to overtake a slower driver on a road i tip it to 30% and have the full 280hp to pull my 30ton load. just try it while you work you will feel the difference.
